Abstract(in English) This paper describes multi-layer network operation method that enables an efficient, flexible network operation by unify management of Multi-layer network resource and cooperation between layers. The multi-layer network consist several key devices, which is the multilayer edge nodes between optical network and IP network and IP optical multilayer TE server. These key devices enables multilayer TE, inter-working of multilayer (e.g., MPLS-GMPLS, IP-GMPLS), and multilayer operation. This paper also describes evaluation results of multi-layer network operation by using experimental network consisted of commercial available routers, OXCs, and IP optical multilayer TE server. In addition, this paper proposes Plug and Play techniques, which can reduce the number of operation man-hours needed to establish service.
