Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In ad hoc networks, since nodes set up links with each other by wireless communication, link failures may occur due to radio interferences or obstacles. If a link failure occurs on the route, the sender node must reconstruct its end-to-end transmission route. That increases network traffic caused by route discovery packets. For avoiding this problem, some retransmission control methods using neighbor nodes have been proposed. However, continuous frame loss increases retransmission delay, and may cause route destroy. This paper proposes a temporary route modification method for ad hoc networks. The performance and effectiveness of the proposed method is clarified by computer simulation.
