Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In optical transmitting system, a radio wave is directly converted to an optical signal by an optical modulator which is connected to an antenna. The optical signal is transmitted to a detecting terminal with optical fiber. This system has features that no electrical power supply is needed at the receiving point and less damage can be caused in this system by lighting surge because the detecting terminal is isolated electrically from the receiving point. This system can be used to not only the lighting protection but also prevention of the coupling interference in the SFN digital TV network. This paper describes the method of high sensitivity for this system. |
