Evolution of Lung Cancer Based on PET/CT Images

Abstract(in English) To describe the quantitative algorithm for extracting lung cancer and to quantitatively evaluate their distribution patterns of SUV using PET/CT images. The pulmonary nodules were segmented through 3D shape model and density using CT images. Through quantification of the size and CT values, SUV, the segmented nodules were classified into types. In addition, the nodules were separated into core and marginal layers. Each type was evaluated between core and marginal layers based on pattern analysis of SUV. We apply the algorithm to 119 thoracic 3-D CT images.
