Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper studies geometrical compensation methods for improving the watermark extraction ability. In a printing-and-scanning process of an image, conditions such as printing resolution, scanning resolution, and paper position to the scanner are all different each time. In general, such a process geometrically transforms a stego image in which watermark is hidden, so the watermark extraction gets difficult. Whereas the conventional approach makes the watermarking method resistant to geometrical transform, this paper proposes a method that improves watermark extraction performance by geometrical compensation utilizing phase-only correlation technique. The sequence of geometrical compensation, scanning conditions, and the required accuracy of geometrical compensation are considered in this paper.
