Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Emission of continuous and monocromatic terahertz (THz) electromagnetic waves from high-temperature superconductor (HTSC) Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_<8+δ> intrinsic Josephson junctions under DC bias voltages was detected and analized spectroscopically. Emission intensity shows the maximum around 40K and the azimuth dependence of the intensity gives the maximum integral intensity of radiation as 5μW. These results manifest that HTSC IJJs may emit intense THz waves as results of their self-oscillation and stimulates developments of compact superconducting THz sources in furture.
