Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently there has been a number of research works reported on system level description languages and system LSI design methodologies using them. On the other hand, Java language has been becoming popular for the software design of embedded systems. In this article we propose a new hardware description language named "Jackal" and the object oriented. design environment for system LSI and evaluate its performance by applying it to JPEG transformation.
