Abstract(in English) Eye movements are utilized in many scientific studies as a probe that reflects the neural representation of the 3 dimensional outer space. This study proposes a method to accurately measure the roll component of the eye movements under various pupil sizes. We characterize the nonlinear contraction of iris patterns, and employ this characteristic to compensate for the changes in iris patterns with different pupil sizes. It is demonstrated that the proposed method improves the accuracy of the roll eye movement measurement at most 76.9%.
