Discussion on the Relationship between Contact Resistance of Single Contact Spot and Granularity of Emery Paper to Polish Contacts

Abstract(in English) Behavioral phenomena of bridges have been investigated in order to resolve the phenomena in separating contacts. First of all, contact voltages have been measured under stationary contacts to know the initial state from which the phenomena start. In this paper, the relationship between the contact resistance of the single contact spot and the granularity of the emery paper will be investigated. The contact resistance of the single contact spot will be estimated from the difference of the contact voltage view point. The contact resistance will be calculated as the sum of the bridge resistance due to the asperity and the constriction resistance, and it will be compared to the estimated value of the contact resistance. The contact resistance due to the single contact spot depended on the granularity of the emery paper. It was the tendency that the estimated contact resistance of the single contact spot became small as the big value of the granularity of the emery paper was used to polish the contact surface.
