Abstract(in English) As a growing interest in the cognitive radio technology has been taken based on the idea of opportunistic spectrum use, the spectrum sensing is more and more important to ensure that cognitive radios would not interfere with primary users. key challenge of spectrum sensing is the detection of weak signals in presence of noise and interference with almost zero probability of misdetection. There are an increasing number of literatures on theoretical assessment of various sensing techniques but there is still a lack of an experimental study enough to show the feasibility and practical performance limits under the practical environment. This report presented the developed measurement system for practical evaluation for the spectrum sensing. It was configured by using some off-the-shelf components and multi purpose digital signal processing unit considering IEEE 802.22. In addition, this report described the experimental results of the energy detector with negative SNR by using sinusoidal input signal that directly connected to the receiver, and shows that the performance was verified by comparison with the theoretical one.
