Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents the performance of spectrum sensing based on feature detection of ATSC digital TV (DTV) signal in IEEE802.22 wireless regional area network (WRAN). WRAN operates over cognitive radio uses a vacant frequency band that is originally assigned to the terrestrial TV broadcast by using cognitive radio technology. Spectrum sensing is a key function of cognitive radio to avoid harmful interference for incumbent devices. In this paper, detection performance of feature detection-based spectrum sensing for ATSC signal is investigated. Impact of noise uncertainty to the detection performance is also evaluated, and is compared with that of energy detection-based spectrum sensing.
