Abstract(in English) This report investigates the feasibility of the implementation of Gaussian multicarrier (GMC) transceiver, which shapes the transmission spectrum with Gaussian pulse. Higher spectral efficiency and more precise spectrum control are necessary for future wireless communication systems. However, a conventional OFDM transmission cannot control the spectrum effectively due to its poor sidelobe attenuation. On the other hand, the GMC transmission replaces the rectangular symbol shaping pulse of the conventional OFDM with the Gaussian waveform and thus can realize sharp sidelobe attenuation. However, because of the lack of orthogonality among symbols and subcarriers, a GMC receiver requires an iterative interference canceller to reduce the amount of inter-symbol-and-subcarrier interference (ISCI). In order to verify the feasibility of the implementation of GMC transceiver, this report shows that a real-time Gaussian multicarrier receiver with iterative interference canceller can be implemented on an FPGA board in addition to the GMC transmitter which has already been implemented previously. The packet error rate characteristic measured on the board agrees well with the results simulated by a computer using floating point calculations. Furthermore, the measurement shows that the interference canceller employing 2 iterations can cancel most of the ISCI amount.
