Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) On the develpment of SDR (Sofutware Defined Radio) software, its execution time has to be within the pre-determined time limit per a communication system to assure the real-time operation. This requirement is often very difficult to achieve. Some signal processors prepare the specialized instruction set and make the execution time much shorter. One of critical drawbacks of this approach is the lack of versatility of SDR software, in other words, it is very hard that the once developped SDR software for one processor is optimized for another processor. To achieve the SDR software real-time operation and versatility, we focus on the platform-independent source code generated on the way to develop the final source code. The behavior of this source code is already validated through various tests and its versatility is assumed through the development by use of the standard high-level language. Based on the platform-independent code, it becomes clear that low-cost SDR software development for various platforms can be achieved.
