Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose the method to detect 'contact' objects using both vibration motors and acceleration sensor. While vibration motors attached to an object generate low-frequency wave, an acceleration sensor attached to another object detects propagated wave when these objects contact physically each other. To evalute the method, we implemented a small device that has an acceleration sensor, a wireless network device, and a small vibration motor. The evaluation shows that our method can be applied to detect 'contact' objects except for several materials.
