Nursing support system Using potable telephone

Abstract(in English) This paper describes on the nursing support system that uses portable telephone for decreasing the work of nursing people. Nursing people can remotely check the condition of the patient of bedridden and operate an electromotive bed for changing the posture of patient, and open and shut the curtain for controlling the light in the room and operate the air conditioner for controlling the room temperature with this system. A model of electromotive bed was made for checking the remote control operation and the subjective evaluation experiments were examined about the camera angles and the quality of image with this model. The results of experiments were as follows. Two camera angles were necessary to operate the electromotive bed and the quality level of image which provided current portable telephone can use for checking the condition of patient of bedridden.
