Abstract(in English) NETCONF is the XML-based protocol in order to configure the network equipments and devices, standardized at the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force). The core NETCONF configuration protocol has been defined and published. NETCONF has started to deploy because some network venders have already shipped the products that NETCONF is implemented. In this paper, the background to the discussion of NETCONF, NETCONF overview, current status for standardization, and trend about related technologies are summarized.
