Abstract(in English) In the internet, congested links decline End-to-End performance. Estimating links' states and selecting suitable routes are important. Pathload, pathChirp, and cprobe are methods to measure routes' performance on end hosts. However, these existing methods create heavy traffic and severely increase networks' loads. In this paper, we propose a method with observing RTT transitions, which can estimate bandwidth usages and available throughputs of bottleneck links without severe network loads. The simulation results demonstrated that the proposed method could estimate bandwidth usage of bottleneck link without heavy network load.
