Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors propose an identification method for European Printed Address Images using affine invariants. In this method, each invariant is calculated from a set of coordinates of centers of gravity extracted from connected components of an image. These invariants are used as features for identification. The authors propose an identification method with two additional improvements from one method already proposed, taking differences of situations into consideration. One improvement is to use coordinates of concatenated feature points from two centers of gravity for calculating affine invariants. The other is to verify whether affine parameters estimated from the sets of coordinates are reasonable by comparing to constraints defined in advance. In this paper, the authors introduce the method and show experimental results to see performances of the method.
