Abstract(in English) | Small satellites are now playing important position in space. Short development period, small cost and abundant launch opportunities are attractive features, and attractive missions have become possible thanks to down-sizing and high performance of electronic devices. However, looking the small satellite in the history of space development, it appeared in an evolutional process of the development which had been dominated by national motives. Historical implications of small satellites are reviewed and its relevance with satellite communication is stated. In addition, development into further attractive system concepts will be addressed.. |
