Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The architecture design phase is one of the most important steps in the System LSI development. We propose a C-based hierachical pipeline architecture design and apply it to the design of the particle tracking technology, which is one of the most promising methods for the measurement of the velocity fluctuation of flows, and uses the particle mask correlation (PMC) method and the KC method. In this paper, a hardware of the KC method is designed and accelerated by the hierarchical pipelining, which consists of functional level, sub-function level, and cycle level pipelining with the search region limitation. The processing speed and circuit size of the designs are evaluated.
