Abstract(in English) | Wireless relay access networks have been studied for the purpose of system capacity enhancement, digital divide removal, etc. On the other hand, network coding has been the more recent and highly regarded as a technology of system capacity enhancement for wireless relay networks. However, the theoretical performance analysis of MAC (Media Access Control) layer for the system applying the network coding is still an open problem. In this manuscript, we analyze throughput, number of packet transmissions, and system delay for 2-hop relay slotted ALOHA systems without network coding and with network coding. Their analytical results can be derived by solving a queuing system for buffer in the relay node. |
