Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A millimeter-wave (mmWave) wireless personal area network (WPAN) is highly focused as a powerful mean enabling to perform very high data transmission over 1~2Gbps. In this paper, we propose media access control (MAC) operations and functions to achieve high data transmission in mmWave WPAN. In particular beamforming that supports directional communications is a unique operation into the MAC operations. In addition frame aggregation function enables to achieve high communication efficiency in mmWave WPAN. Simulation results show over 1Gbps MAC throughput achievement under the proposed operations and functions.
