Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Video streaming such as HDMI transmission is a promising application of the 60GHz wireless personal area network (WPAN) that enjoys multi-gigabit transmission. To build wireless communication systems that support such high-data-rate and high-quality wireless application, a frame design methodology which is different from the conventional ones applied for wireless LANs is required. This paper proposes a novel frame design methodology that is suitable for the high-data-rate and high-quality wireless applications for the multi-gigabit millimeter-wave WPAN. The proposed methodology is based on the premise that the preamble and payload are designed so as to be further protected against payload to avoid streaming blackouts due to preamble or header error. In addition, this paper describes how to design of frames used for Beaconing and Signaling and data transmission in consideration with the requirements for the multi-gigabit millimeter-wave WPAN. |
