Abstract(in English) The authors have proposed a channel generation method using simplified 2-D raytracing taking only walls into account for area-spectral efficiency evaluation of wireless systems with spatial signal processing. They have also searched a set of reflection and transmission coefficients of the walls for the proposed method. It gives realistic characteristics of multipath channels in an indoor LOS environment through comparison with the result of 3-D raytracing simulations taking various obstacles into account. In this paper, the proposed method is expanded in order to express the characteristics of multipath channels in an indoor NLOS environment. The fluctuation of the received power of the first-coming path based on the log-normal distribution is introduced in order to express the variation of wall transmission loss, which has a major impact on Rician factor, dependent on the angle of incident. A coefficient for adjusting the total received power is also introduced in order to match it between the proposed method and 3-D raytracing. Simulation results reveal that the proposed method with a reflection coefficient of 0.2, a transmission coefficient of 0.1, a logarithmic variance of the received power of the first-coming path of 3dB, and an adjustment coefficient of the total received power of 0.2 gives the characteristics of multipath channels similar to those given by the 3-D raytracing.
