Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a channel assignment scheme where each mesh point (MP) equips less wireless interfaces than available channels and uses multi-rate capability in wireless mesh network (WMN). The goals of the scheme (1) improves the capacity of WMN, (2) doesn't reassign to another channel dynamically, (3) are capable of incremental deployment of MPs, and (4) are lightweight polynomial algorithm for assigning a channel. For that ends, the scheme uses the approach which is alike AP selection scheme where a MP that attempts to get into WMN assigns the channel which can exploit the maximum throughput to the interface. Simulations revealed that the proposed routing scheme can attain excellent performance compared with the existing routing scheme.
