Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Femto cell base station which are installed in the private area such as home, office and campus has been investigated and deployed to develop the fixed and mobile convergence (FMC) network. The femto cell BSs are connected to mobile operators network via xDSL and FTTH which are already installed in the private area. Such FMC network provides seamless services between private and public area by one mobile terminal connecting femto cell BSs in private area and macro cell BSs in public area. This document investigates mobility management technology for the FMC network employing femto cell BS and also provides the preliminary investigation on the convergence of mobile and fixed communication for the next generation mobile network.
