Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Authors proposed a method for acquisition of Head-Related Transfer Functions (HRTFs) or Head-Related Impulse Responses (HRIRs) from the impulse reponse measured in ordinary sound field with reflection based on Linear Prediction (LP) of the impulse response with its reflection component cut out [Takane et al., Proc. JCA(2007)]. In this paper, this method was briefly outlined and the application of the method to the acquisition of HRIRs of a Head-and-Torso Simulator (HATS) was examined. Prediction accuracy was evaluated in not only objective but also subjective viewpoints. The results showed that 30 sample points (with sampleing frequency of 48kHz) available for LP can bring about the estimated HRIRs which improves the prediction accuracy of more than 30dB maximum in SDR (Signal-to-Deviation Ratio), and which has no significant audible difference from their corresponding original HRIRs in almost all directions for most subjects.
