Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, the standardization of high throughput wireless LAN, i.e., IEEE 802.11n, is first introduced and then the next generation on very high throughput wireless LAN, i.e., IEEE 802.11 VHT, is also explained according to the activity of IEEE 802.11 VHT Study Group. After that, the overview of our research activity on very high throughput wireless LAN is introduced. A SISO-OFDM with 80MHz band-width is explained first and then 2x2 MIMO-OFDM is shown by using the SISO-OFDM. In order to realize stable high quality movie streaming, a wireless base-band LSI with 1.3G bps (80MHz) high throughput data rate is also shown in this report. It is realized by using 4x4 MIMO-OFDM with new matrix calculation suitable for real-time processing. The novel architecture for high speed MIMO-OFDM is proposed and it is compared with conventional ones.
