Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) One of the Eigenvalue decomposition techniques of a Hermitian matrix is QR decomposition. There are Householder transformation, GIBUNSU rotation and Gram-Schmidt decomposition for the QR decomposition technique which calculates Eigenvalue and Eigenvector. We show that Gram-Schmidt decomposition is the most suitable for hardwarization in these techniques. In the Gram-Schmidt decomposition technique, the optimal algorithm can easily perform the trade-off of the number of cycles and area, and the result made into hardware is reported here. Moreover, QR decomposition hardware with this algorithm was applied to arrival-directions presumption technology for the signal to an array antenna. We adopt the MUSIC method (MUltiple SIgnal Classification) arrival-directions presumption technology, and report of the evaluated result about that QR decomposition is made into hardware by HILS (Hardware In the LoopS).
