| Abstract(in English) | This paper is intended to provide a brief overview of revisions of Japanese Trademark Law mainly taken place within these two decades. By doing so, we can see how the law has developed keeping steps with the economic advancement in the country. We refer to the launch of retail service protection that started in April, 2007 and raise points that are likely to be dealt with within the course of prosecution. Issues which may be included in future revisions of the Trademark Law will also be introduced. |
