Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A new method of watermarking for vide is proposed for retrieving watermarks from MPEG bit streams directly without decoding. This method is based on Sakazawa's method which also aims at retrieving from MPEG bit streams, but embeds only one bit on consecutive frames and does not require the information on the embedding location. Since our method can embed more weakly at each DCT block than Sakazawa's method, the watermarks are less visible. Computer simulations show the high performance of this method and also show the robustness to various types of attacks, such as MPEG compression, trimming, rotation, and shrinking.
