Abstract(in English) Recently, several data extraction methods from data embedding printing images have been proposed. In these techniques, availability of a camera in cellular phones as a sensing device is one of important factors. This paper proposes improvement of the data embedding and detection method for the printing image, which can use the camera in the cellular phones. The proposed correction algorithm based on a perspective transformation to the scanning of the printing images can reduce the geometrical deformation by the camera. The proposed method is based on a diffusion method for embedding data and a new embedding position of the diffused data and a gain control method are also proposed. From experiment results, effectiveness of the proposed method for the grayscale and color images is shown.
