Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, energy based cooperative sensing methods are introduced and evaluated. A sensing problem is replaced by a binary hypothesis testing problem. At first, sensing methods tackling a hypothesis test where whether primary user is active or not is detected under false alarm constraint (P_=Prob(H_1|H_0)) are introduced as follows. Single user and multi users based sensing methods which corresponds to the cooperative sensing are discussed. In the cooperative sensing methods, we introduce practical and optimal detectors, respectively. In the practical detector, LMP (Locally Most Powerful) concept is employed. Next, the sensing methods tackling a hypothesis test where whether the received signal level is more than threshold or not are introduced under P_ and miss detection (P_M=Prob(H_0|H_1)) constraints are also introduced. The sensing method under P_M takes into account the interference to the primary users while the sensing method under P_ consider the transmit opportunities of secondary users. We propose a practical cooperative sensing method for the later hypothesis under P_M constraint. By computer simulations, it is confirmed that the cooperative sensing has better performance than the single user sensing. In the proposed methods, it is shown that a diversity gain in terms of the sensing can be achieved by increase the number of users in the cooperative network.
