Abstract(in English) | In cognitive radio system, each mobile station observes the usage of frequency spectrum, detects the vacant frequency spectrum, and then uses it for sending the information data signal. In addition, multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system, which can transmit multiple data signals with using single frequency spectrum, is applied to cognitive radio, and thus frequency use efficiency is significantly improved. In MIMO-Cognitive Radio system, when new user joints the system for transmitting data signal, it is necessary that the new user should detect the number of parallel transmitted symbols which the other users transmit, because the new user should remove the interference signals whose number is the same as that of parallel data symbols. In this paper, in MIMO-Cognitive Radio system, the novel method for recognizing the number of parallel data symbols is proposed. In proposed recognition technique, the received signal point is more significantly fluctuated as the number of parallel transmitted symbols becomes larger. As a result, the fluctuation can be used for recognizing the number of parallel transmitted symbols. The effect of the proposed technique is shown by computer simulation. |
