Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wireless LAN has been rapidly deployed and it is expected that wireless LAN networks will be more densely deployed in near future. In this expected dense deployment of wireless LAN networks, it will be required to introduce new technologies such as cognitive radio to improve spatial frequency utilization efficiency. This paper describes the channel capacity improvement by using adaptive directional antenna in high-density wireless LAN networks as the mutual interference is reduced by directional antenna. The channel capacity is evaluated by computer simulation and is compared with that when omni-directional antenna is employed.
