Abstract(in English) A SiGe-MMIC transceiver has been developed for cognitive radio. This MMIC transceiver has multi-band characterictic which covers the whole band of 0.4-5.8GHz band and it also has multi-mode characterictic which handles various modulation schemes with different base-base frequency ranges. This MMIC includes a transmitter, a receiver and an LO switch blocks and it needs external RF oscilators as LO. The transmitter block consists of a direct conversion Q-MOD, VGAs and driver amplifiers having broad-bandcharacterictics and it provides a constant output power of transmit signal over 0.4-5.8GHz. The receiver block consists of a VGA, a direct conversion Q-MIX, base-band VGAs and a tunable active filter. The LO switch block consists of a switch matrix and frequency dividers, one each for transmitter and receiver to elminates the spurious emission from transmitter's output having receiving signal's frequency component. This MMIC can handle the modulated signal's band width of more than 50MHz and is applicable not only existing wireless systems but future broad-band systems including 4G.
