Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) High resolution radar (HRR) using ultra wideband (UWB) signal attracts considerable attention as a short range automotive radar. Radar reception signals often contain unwanted echoes (clutter), and such echoes make it difficult to detect the wanted target signal. Therefore it is important to investigate statistical characteristics of clutter intensity for detecting target by means of suppression of clutter. However the clutter characteristics for UWB radar have not been investigated. In this research clutter characteristics is first presented for several bandwidths and then discussed. The clutter suppression based on pulse integration is also suggested and SCR for integral number is discussed.
