Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The authors have improved an ultra wide band channel sounder with a time delay resolution of 0.5ns to enable the 4x4 MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) channel sounding and measured indoor MIMO channels in LOS (Line Of Sight) environments. Based on the measured channels, MIMO-OFDM (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) computer simulations were conducted to estimate the channel capacities and BER (Bit Error Rate) performance. According to the computer simulations results, both channel capacity and BER performance are highly dependent on multipath richness but on different eigenvalues of propagation channel matrix, respectively.
