Abstract(in English) In the experiments, enhancement of magneto-optical response by localized surface plasmon resonance was experimentally obtained by Au nanoparticles embedded in magnetic garnet films (Bi: YIG). We examined enhancement of the magneto-optic response of Au, Ag and Pt nanoparticles. Enhancement was confirmed in Au and Pt nanoparticles, but enhancement was not confirmed in Ag nanoparticles. Because the oxide layer was formed on the surface of nano particles, near-fields that were excited at metallic Ag cores inside oxidized nanoparticles can not reach Bi: YIG. We clarified the relation between strength of SPR and magneto-optical response.
