Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Now a lot of land mines remain buried in the world, so that the clearance of them is required. However, a land mines search is difficult in the flooded soil such as in Southeast Asia. We try to detect objects buried at extreme shallow area in submerged soil. In this research, we measure the propagation property of ultrasound of 120kHz in the shallow submerged sand. The acoustic velocity is measured at about 1500m/s and the attenuation is measured at about -19dB/m. And next, shallow underground exploring by using acoustic shielding boards is carried out. As a result, underground images in the water tank simulating the submerged soil are obtained.
