Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a range-free position estimation algorithm on mobile ad-hoc networks. In this algorithm, nodes estimate their positions using their neighbors' current and past positions (position histories), which are exchanged among neighboring nodes, so that their estimation accuracy increases gradually. Exchanging position histories, nodes not only estimate their current positions but also refine their past positions, and based on this refinement, the estimated current positions are refined. The experimental results have shown that the average position estimation error was less than half of the wireless range even when only quater of the map was covered with landmarks' wireless range.
