Abstract(in English) The OBN (Open Business Network) is now used as the extra-network for settlement of electronic moneys such as SUICA, PASMO, and EDY, for the settlement of almost all credit card authorizations, and for EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems and so on. The paper describes how the OBN supports these applications. Next, it describes how to develop the business-oriented IP network to promote the consolidation of the fixed and mobile networks (FMC).
