Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For vehicle safety applications, high reliability and low latency are the highest priority in communication system requirements. In this paper, a roadside-to-vehicle communication (RVC) system that makes use of downlink frame repetition with multiple narrow antenna beams is proposed to improve the probability of successful packet reception. Link level performance of an OFDM system with antenna beam switching in an RVC environment is evaluated by using multipath fading simulator. The measurement results show that the packet error rate (PER) performance varies with each antenna beam and that the frame repetition with switching multiple antenna beams has a possibility to improve PER performance even in a shadowing area.
