Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a new Positioning System for Inertial Navigation using Visible Light Communication (VLC). This system can make us estimate the moving route of the vehicles. In the proposed system, receiver on the vehicles can receive the geolocation that is sent from VLC transmitter which is composed of LED. After that, we can recognize the moving route of the inertial sensor. However, there is a problem that the measurement errors of the inertial sensor are accumulated. Thus, we propose not only the way to correct position but also the way to correct speed and direction of movement using VLC. In this paper, we evaluate the measurement error of the proposed system by experiment and numerical analysis. As a result, we confirm that mobile terminal can be navigated in a corridor whose width is 3m using VLC transmitters which are set at 10m interval. Therefore, we can say that the proposed system is effective at a viewpoint of indoor positioning system for the vehicles.
