Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed a label recognition system for photonic label switching using self-routing of the label. Binary-coded labels in phase shift keying (BPSK) format are considered. An identifying bit is placed ahead of the address bits in the label. The label recognition system consists of a tree-structure connection of asymmetric X-junctions. The system uses self-routing propagation of an indication bit controlled with address bits. The asymmetric X-junction has a small dependence on wavelength. In this report, wavelength dependence of the recognition characteristics is investigated using finite-difference BPM. We calculated a case of three-bit labels. A circuit designed to recognize the labels with -30dB crosstalk at 1550nm was shown to be able to recognize the labels in 1500-1600nm with -25dB crosstalk.
