Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We demonstrate ultrashort pulse generation from pulse compression by using Raman amplifier. We also found that this pulse compression process is applicable to realize a pulse-width tunable source. Finally we evaluated the characteristic features of the pulse compression process, showing that the process did not affect the BER performance at all.
