Filter Characteristics of Spatial Grids to Scattered Waves in Biomedical Media for Ultrasound Image Diagnosis

Abstract(in English) In medical systems of image diagnoses using ultrasound, bio-medical information given by ultrasound absorption and reflection in bio-medical media, are disturbed by scattering waves of ultrasound in bio-medical media. In medical systems of ultrasound image diagnosis, separation processing for absorption, reflection and scattering in bio-medical media using spatial filters may contribute to establish excellent medical system of ultrasound image diagnoses. Scattered ultrasound field are discussed for incident ultrasound beam waves, using statistical theory of ultrasound waves and integral equations. Waveguide-type spatial grids consisting of lossy ultrasound waveguides are studied. Analyzing of scattered ultra-sound fields, waveguide-type spatial grid filters for scattered field are proposed and image processing characteristics are shown.
