Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, a high resolution 3D-CT image can be obtained through multi-slice CT. Particularly, time resolution and spatial resolution improve, and three-dimensional image analysis is expected.Classifying lung into lung lobes and lung segments gives useful information to diagnosis and treatment of lung diseases. In this paper, % we describe an algorithm which classifies lungs into lung lobes and lung segments from multi-slice CT image. we describe algorithms which classify lungs into lung lobes and lung segments from multi-slice CT images. The classification algorithm of lung lobes is efficiently carried out using information of lung blood vessel, bronchus, and interlobar fissure. On the other hand, the classification algorithm of lung segments is carried out using information of bronchus and pulmonary artery. Applying the classification algorithms to multi-slice CT images of 20 cases, we demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed algorithms.
