Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this research we describe a liver segmentation method for 3D Non-contrast abdominal CT image. In the liver region, intensity contrasts between abdominal spleen and stomach are low and they exist very closely. So we can't extract the liver region accurately using only region growing and probabilistic atlas. We focused on advantages of both approach between region growing and probabilistic atlas. The proposed method is applied to 10 cases of 3D abdominal CT images. As a result, we could extract the liver region accurately.
