Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Since a hearing disability is an invisible impairment, it's difficult for hearing-impaired people to get support from others, and there are many cases where they encounter threatening situations and feel uncomfortable and discouraged. We have developed some welfare products, based on the corporate vision of Yazaki: be a company respected and trusted, and be a good neighbor anywhere in the world. And now we have started to develop the alarm signals recognition device that would improve the circumstance of people with hearing difficulties. We've performed the research of other alarm signal recognition products, and the study of original algorithm. Here, we report the results of the study and the activity.
